The Clarity Experience Design System (in progress) project started at a time when Rodan + Fields didn't have a great brand presence on the web as well as no user experience standards. Various teams and vendors have built inconsistent technology products that didn't quite meet user needs and didn't behave as parts of a larger and coherent system. Clarity addressed the unification of digital design standards to create a coherent and consistent system.

The system was inspired by a new creative direction the brand was taking for advertising. The UX Team leveraged the new look and feel and turned it into a single source of truth for all R+F products. The video below shows where our vision originally began.

Since its inception, Clarity has helped our teams deliver better digital products and has, in turn, inspired the Creative team, who will join our efforts to expand the design system beyond digital over the course of 2017.
